I discovered this shop by chance when I went to buy Japanese sweets
I sometimes go to Osaki to buy Japanese sweets, and I found a shop that I was somehow drawn to, and I had been thinking of going to “Umazakana Suzuki” someday.
I didn’t have a chance to go there, but I was finally able to visit the other day.
It’s a cut above the average set meal restaurant
Looking at the menu, the prices are a little on the high side, and the set meal I ordered, the “tuna and grated yam with mackerel miso” set meal, was 1,700 yen, but when I ate it, I was convinced that it was a cut above the average set meal restaurant lunch.
In particular, the mackerel simmered in miso and the miso soup were wonderful, and I can only say that they were delicious.
It was so delicious that I went back again soon after.
On my second visit, I ordered the zuke don, which was also delicious and didn’t disappoint.
I think I’ll go back every season because everything is delicious here.
About “Umazakana Suzuki”
Umazakana Suzuki was established in 2009 and is a restaurant that serves delicious fish and is known by those in the know. It is said that even the presidents of major companies and celebrities visit in secret.
The owner makes use of his experience as a fishmonger in Tsukiji to prepare carefully selected seasonal ingredients, and the lunch menu also changes depending on the day’s purchases.
In November 2023, it was also featured on TV Tokyo’s “Ad Machikku Tengoku”.
It’s a little pricey for a salaryman’s lunch, but it’s so delicious that I’d like to visit this restaurant from time to time as a treat for myself.
