This is a very popular fish restaurant in Tsukiji
I had work in the Shintomicho area that day, and it was lunchtime.
I rarely come to this area, and I had never eaten here before, so I did a little research beforehand and realized that there were lots of attractive restaurants.
From the many options, I chose a restaurant called “Uotake”.
I had time to spare, so I decided to go there after reading the comment “a popular restaurant with a long queue”.
I was able to enjoy a delicious set meal of fish!
I arrived at the restaurant at around 11:20, but there was already a line of 7 or 8 people.
However, the turnover was quite fast, and I was able to get in soon.
When I entered the restaurant, the smell of charcoal filled the air, so even at this point I thought, “Ah, this is a restaurant you can trust.”
I ordered the grilled salmon set meal (1,100 yen), which is the most popular item on the menu, and the salmon grilled over the charcoal was delicious.
I usually don’t eat the skin of salmon, but I enjoyed every bite (price as of May 2023).
I was very happy to be able to eat a wonderful grilled fish set meal in Shintomi-cho for the first time.

Seasonal Cuisine Uotake is a long-established restaurant that was founded in 1975 (Showa 50) and is run by the family of a former fish shop. It is one of the most popular restaurants in Tsukiji.
It is a small restaurant with only about 10 seats, but its lunch set meals are very popular and there are often long queues at lunchtime.
