I heard it was a popular restaurant, so I visited on a rainy day
On this day, my morning work took longer than expected, and I didn’t finish until after 12:30.
It was raining, and lunchtime had passed, so I headed for a certain restaurant.
I visited a Japanese restaurant called Ishii, which is located in a back alley in Nihonbashi.
I had heard about this restaurant from someone, but I thought it would probably be busy, so I didn’t go there for a while, but I thought it might be open on a rainy day, so I decided to go.
I was surprised at how delicious the sashimi set meal was, even more than I had expected!
The restaurant is located underground, and I was able to enter it immediately after going down the stairs.
I looked at the menu and ordered the sashimi set meal, but when I saw the price of 1250 yen, I thought that it must be a small portion.
I was surprised when I saw the food that had been served, as there was more sashimi than I had expected, and it was also shining brightly.
I started with the miso soup, which was delicious with the dashi stock really coming through. 😆
The sashimi was just as delicious as it looked, and I just kept eating rice.
I asked for a refill because it was free up to one time, but when I looked at the menu, it seems that you can also refill miso soup for 50 yen.
It’s hard to believe that such delicious miso soup is only 50 yen.
I think it’s amazing that it’s this cheap in such a prime location in Nihonbashi.
After eating a delicious lunch and going outside feeling good, I was brought back to reality in an instant by the pouring rain outside. 😅
About Ishii
Ishi-i is a long-established restaurant that has been in business since 1983, and has been operating in this location for around 40 years.
It is a small restaurant with only 18 seats, but it is always busy with office workers at lunchtime, and it also attracts many female customers.
The main attraction of this restaurant is the delicious fish, and you can enjoy a set meal for 1,250 yen at lunchtime (as of September 2022).
