A great sushi restaurant I found by chance.
I have business partners in Futakotamagawa and often visit them, but I always have a hard time choosing a restaurant for lunch.
There are many restaurants in Futakotamagawa, but many of them are not headquartered in Futakotamagawa, and there are not many restaurants that you can eat only here.
I found Sushi Ikyu by chance while looking around for a restaurant, and was somehow attracted to it.
The fish in the sushi case shined!
The menu at the entrance listed the nigiri as 3,000 yen and the negitoro bara chirashi don as 1,700 yen.
I was not willing to spend 3,000 yen for lunch, so I walked through the curtain with the intention of having the negitoro bara-chirashi-don.
However, the fish in the sushi case looked so delicious that I ended up saying, “Nigiri!
My actual impression of the sushi here is that it is absurdly delicious.
I was told that they do not use any farmed or frozen products, so considering that, I felt that 3,000 yen for this level of sushi in Futakotamagawa was quite inexpensive (price as of September 2023).
I would like to come back at night, although it does not seem to be as inexpensive as lunch.
In the vein of the famous sushi restaurant
My interest was piqued, so I looked up the lineage of “Sushi Ikyu” and found that it seems to be a branch of “Ikyu,” which opened in Himonya around 1981.
Sushi Ikyu in Futakotamagawa uses seasonal fish selected by the owner, who has over 30 years of experience in this field.
The restaurant has private rooms as well as counter seats, and can be used for business entertainment.
Incidentally, “Ikyu” in Himonya has now moved to Azamino, which is also known as a popular restaurant with a long line of customers.
