Kyobashi, a business district close to Tokyo Station, has seen a lot of redevelopment in recent years, with huge office buildings such as Tokyo Square Garden being built one after another.
In Kyobashi, there is a street lined with long-established yakitori restaurants, commonly known as “yakitori-dori” (yakitori street).
In this article, we will report on the popular restaurant “Eiichi” on “yakitori-dori”.

The yakitori donburi lunch is superb!
One of the restaurants I’ve always wanted to visit but given up on because of the long queue is the yakitori restaurant “Eiichi” that I’m introducing this time.

As I had a bit of time to spare that day, I decided to queue up.
I thought I would have to wait for quite a while, but the service was faster than I expected, and I was able to get in after waiting for about 15 minutes.
The lunch menu only included oyakodon and yakitoridon, but as it was a real yakitori restaurant, I decided to order the yakitoridon (1,200 yen).

It took a little while to cook over the charcoal, but the “yakitori donburi” that was brought to us already had an aura of deliciousness.
The yakitori donburi is served with quail eggs, chicken thigh, chicken meatballs, liver and gizzards, all piled up dynamically on top of the rice.

I thought to myself, “This looks delicious,” and took a bite, but the flavor far exceeded my expectations.
The savory aroma of the yakitori grilled over charcoal filled my mouth, and it was delicious beyond belief.
Even now, looking back at the picture, I can’t help but feel my stomach rumbling from the deliciousness of the yakitori bowl.
Returning a few days after the first visit
The yakitori donburi at Eiichi was so delicious that I invited some people from work to come back a few days later.
I resisted the urge to order the yakitori donburi again and ordered the oyakodon (large size, 1,100 yen) instead.

As you can see in the picture, it was a little on the light side, but not too light, and it had a refined taste.
It was a delicious oyakodon, but if you ask me which one I’d have next time, I’d have no hesitation in choosing the yakitori don.
The destructive power of the yakitori don is that great (price as of October 2022).
The Yaki-tori Don at Eiichi is worth queuing for!
Eiichi is a long-established restaurant that was founded in 1948 (Showa 23), and it is a popular yakitori restaurant that has been selected many times as one of the 100 best restaurants on a major gourmet website.
There are only two lunch menu items (yaki-tori don and oyako don) (only set menus are available in the evening), but many people visit every day in search of a delicious yaki-tori lunch.
As it is a popular restaurant, you may have to wait a little during lunchtime, but it is worth the wait.
