When you think of Japanese food in Akasaka, you probably get the impression that it’s quite expensive, but there is a restaurant in Akasaka that offers reasonably priced lunches.
This time, we would like to introduce the Japanese restaurant “Hitotsugi Chikurinsou”, which is located near Akasaka-mitsuke Station.
Please check the official website and Google Map below for opening hours, days closed, reviews, etc.

Inviting a colleague from work to lunch at a Japanese restaurant

I had work in Akasaka that day, and I went out with two colleagues.

As I had finished work at lunchtime, I was full of enthusiasm to go out to eat, but as everyone wanted to go straight back to the office, I suggested that we should eat out and go home, and we decided to have lunch together.

A Japanese restaurant on the 5th floor of a multi-tenant building

On this day, I had my eye on a Japanese restaurant called “Hitotsugi Chikurinsou” on the 5th floor of a multi-tenant building, and I chose this restaurant because I had heard that the fish was delicious.
Although it is a restaurant that you are unlikely to enter without knowing its location, it seems that everyone knows about it, and there were quite a few people queuing up.

I had a delicious lunch of fish that lived up to the rumors

We waited for about 15 minutes before being seated, but although it was a Japanese-style restaurant, the interior had the atmosphere of a set meal restaurant, and there were many people who looked like office workers.
I ordered simmered sea bream (1,700 yen), and my two colleagues ordered grilled cod with sweet miso (1,600 yen) (prices as of May 2024).

While we were waiting for our seats to be ready, the person sitting next to me ordered boiled flounder, which looked so delicious that my colleague couldn’t help but say, “That looks delicious!
The sea bream I ordered was also very delicious, with thick meat and tender flesh.
My colleague, who ordered cod, also seemed very satisfied.

About “Hitotsugi Chikurin-so”

Ichitsugi Chikurinsou was established in 1982, and while it offers reasonably priced lunches, at night it is a full-fledged Japanese kappo restaurant that serves course meals costing over 10,000 yen.
The lunch menu is very varied, and on this day there were 9 different grilled and simmered fish dishes on offer.
The prices range from 1,600 to 1,700 yen, which may seem expensive for a salaryman’s lunch, but considering that you can get a set meal of this quality in Akasaka at this price, I think it’s actually quite cheap.
“Next time I come to Akasaka, I’ll come to this restaurant again!” The members who ate here this time all agreed.
I think this is a very rare restaurant in this area.
