I think there are quite a few people who have noticed the sign for the sardine restaurant that can be seen from the platform (towards Shinagawa) at Osaki Station on the JR Yamanote Line.

So, this time we would like to introduce “Iwashi Ryori no mise Ajiraku”, a sardine restaurant located at the east exit of Osaki Station.
Please check the official website and Google Map below for opening hours, days closed, reviews, etc.

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy delicious sardine dishes

The “Sardine Restaurant Miraku” is located just down the stairs from the east exit of Osaki Station.

This popular restaurant is always packed at lunchtime, and the specialty fried sardines are so popular that they sell out early.
It has also been selected as one of the 100 best restaurants by Tabelog.

The crispy fried sardines are delicious!

I was standing on the platform at Osaki Station on my way home from a business trip with a female colleague when I saw a sign for “Iwashi Ryori no mise Ajiraku” (a restaurant that serves sardine dishes).
When I asked her if she knew about the restaurant, which is famous for its fried sardines, she replied, “I love sardines,” so we decided to go there.
I visited just after it opened at a little after 11:30, but it was already almost full, as always, and very popular.
I ordered the standard fried sardine set meal (900 yen), which was crispy and light and very delicious (price as of June 2023).

The best thing about it is that the oil is wonderfully crispy, so you can enjoy it to the very last bite.
It’s a restaurant of such a high standard that you rarely come across such delicious fried sardines.
There were several foreign customers, probably inbound tourists.
I enjoyed my delicious lunch while thinking, “It’s good that the restaurant is doing well, but it’s also a problem that we office workers can’t go there anymore.

About “Iwashi Ryori no mise Ajiraku”

Iwashi Ryori no mise Ajiaku (Sardine Restaurant Miraku) was established in 1981.
Every day, they buy fresh fish from the market and serve dishes that are made entirely by hand.
As you might expect from a sardine restaurant, they have over 20 sardine dishes on the menu, including sashimi, fried sardines, and namelou (minced sardines mixed with miso and other ingredients).
They are open from lunch to night, so you can use them for lunch or for a quick drink after work.
They are popular both during the day and at night, but especially during the day, they are one of the most cost-effective restaurants in the Osaki area.
